Cardgame

TugBoats is a two player ‘Tug of War’ cardgame where players play boats and tug ropes! Players plan their turn and choose a boat to reveal simultaneously. 

Choose wisely as the fastest boat gets first choice of buoy bonuses but the strongest team moves the ribbon one step closer to victory! Each boat has it’s own unique special ability to help turn the tides in your favor!

Suitable for ages 8+

Tugboats can be printed on 4 A4 sheets of paper, is suitable for ages 8+ and plays in 5-20 minutes. In an effort to make this Print and Play easier and more accessible, we’ve made the 30 Buoy tokens interchangeable with other popular games - so you can use components from another game to save you assembly time!

A token to mark each players strength and the ribbon on the start card.

Due to COVID-19 the Cubicle 7 team, like many others, are all working from home - because of this we could no longer run our weekly evening game/playtest in our offices in Ireland. So, we decided it was about time we ran our first fully remote game and share the audio with you all!

#WarhammerWednesday

Today we have a blog post about Magic in WFRP from Clive Oldfield. Clive started playing WFRP virtually the day it came out, back in 1986 and has contributed to the second, third and fourth editions of the RPG, as well as the officially unofficial Warpstone magazine and so is an excellent source of information! Look out for another article from Clive soon!

Magic Systems

The magic rules for WFRP are made up from a number of smaller systems. Just like the Winds of Magic, these systems need to be manipulated and coerced before the full power of magic can be realised. Although I am not a Wizard, I will go over a few of the fundamentals of spell casting in WFRP, and a few tweaks to the existing systems.

The most straight-forward way to cast a spell, and a method that can only reliably be used on very low Casting Number (CN) spells, is to simply make a Language (Magick) Test. If this succeeds, then a CN: 0 spell is successful. CN: 0 means that no extra Success Levels are

Hello, and welcome back to #MortalRealmsMonday. Emmet here, producer on Age of Sigmar: Soulbound. I hope everyone is keeping safe and well, given the current health crisis. Like the rest of the C7 team, I’ve been working from home the last few weeks which has been a slight adjustment — there’s nothing quite like being around the team to collaborate and build excitement. But we’ve all been keeping in regular contact and haven’t slowed down one bit.

With that in mind, I wanted to share an update. We know everyone is excited about Soulbound and keen to hear news, so this week I wanted to let you know how things are progressing.

What’s in the Book?

When you open the table of contents of Soulbound, you'll see that there are 13 chapters to sink your teeth into.

1. Introduction: A short intro to the Age of Sigmar for new players and those who are already fans of the setting.
2. Character Creation: A step-by-step guide on how to create your character.
3. Archetypes: A full list of archetypes to choose

As we near the finish line on completing the PDF for Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay: Wrath & Glory, we wanted to share more on Character Creation so you can get an idea of what to expect. As soon as  we have news on the PDF release we will update you all on the usual channels. Watch out for more information on Advancement, and other rules changes coming soon!

Character Creation 

There are lots of options for character creation in Wrath & Glory, so the first thing you’ll need is a Framework. These haven’t changed from the previous version of the game; just figure out what kind of adventures you’d like to go on so you know what kind of characters will work with the story you’re going to tell. 

To get you started, we’ve added a few sample Frameworks to the Rulebook. Maybe you’d like to work for Jakel Varonius, the Rogue Trader currently making strides in the Gilead System? 

Once you have a Framework, you can pick your Archetype. Prerequisites have been removed entirely for Archetypes

How's everyone doing today? We know a lot of you are trying to entertain and homeschool your kids (while also working from home yourself!) It’s challenging! So, we compiled a list of some creative ideas to keep the little ones entertained and amused.

Just a quick update on the current status of our WFRP projects. We’ve been quiet for a bit, but a lot has been going on behind the scenes! The final few pieces of art have been coming in for WFRP Death on the Reik, and the updated Ubersreik Adventures are just being given a final polish. 

We have a few new adventures on the way, as well as a couple of small unannounced extras that you might find interesting - more on that in the next couple of weeks.

Our printer is currently operating at a reduced capacity, but remains open. In fact, the first few samples of certain quite anticipated books have arrived and are looking very nice indeed! 

Currently the special editions are being finished - the slip cases and additional print processes require a little extra manufacturing time - but we expect those to be completed shortly. We are monitoring the situation, and will let everyone know right away if that changes.
