Archives of the Empire
Just North of Altdorf, not far from the village of Frederheim, the cult of Shallya maintains a Hospice. Behind its imposing walls, troubled souls are given succour, and a lucky few find respite.
Not so for one of its denizens, however, who is tireless in her mission to compile a record to outlive the world — her Archives of the Empire.
The End Times are coming, and her quill is ceaseless in a frantic race against time. Her letters find their way to every corner of the Empire. Each missive begs its recipient to reply with thoughts on some specific matter. She claims to be Princess Isabella von Holswig-Schleistein, sister to

If you missed out, you can find part 1 here, part 2 here and part 3 here. Or read on for today’s 4th instalment – Folk and Folklore of the North – Nordland by WFRP Developer Dave Allen.
Folk and Folklore of the North: Part 4 – Nordland
‘Boris, my dear, the matter is entirely in hand. Your generous compensation was more than what was required to assuage the resentments lingering from the blunder at the Ruin. It is not an aspect of the true Nordlander’s character to harbour an unjust grudge. Remember: the people of Salzenmund worship you. Do stop being so disheartened about the whole affair, dear fellow. Now, let’s have a drink and remember dear Anika-Elise. She wouldn’t want you to be unhappy, would she?’
– Baron Werner Niske of Salzenmund
The people of Nordland are descendants of the Was Jutone tribe, and since their earliest history they have been eclipsed by the more numerous and warlike

WARHAMMER FANTASY ROLEPLAY UPDATE!
November Update
#WarhammerWednesday
Hi all! It’s been a busy few months for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, and we’re very excited to share what we’ve been working on with you all.
As some of you might already know, WFRP is now available on both Roll20® and the Foundry virtual tabletops. We’ve had a great response from the community, and will continue to support both platforms going forward.
To that end, Enemy in Shadows, the first part of the epic Enemy Within campaign, should be making an appearance on the Foundry very soon!
We have also been working away on Middenheim: City of the White Wolf - the PDF will be released in a few weeks alongside the pre-order . It is packed with content about the most important (arguably, if you’re from Nuln) City State in the Empire and its denizens. The book comes with a lovely map of the city by Dániel Kovacs, which we are making available as an exclusive A1 poster as well.
Along with Middenheim: City of the White Wolf, volume one of Archives of the Empire

‘Sigmar brought the hammer down in a sweeping arc. Artur sought to parry with his magical Dragon Sword, but its frosted blade shattered under Sigmar’s incredible strength, and the Heldenhammer shattered the rebellious king’s crown to smithereens. There are those amongst the Teutogen who complain that Sigmar’s victory here wanted for glory, for Artur was old and nursed injuries from his struggles with the monstrous Drakwald Revenant. But Sigmar was righteous, having suffered the depredations of Artur’s raiders, and forced to fight by the proud king’s repeated refusal to make apology or obeisance.’
