Altdorf: Crown of the Empire
Altdorf is the capital city of the Empire and the birthplace of Sigmar Heldenhammer. It is the most populous city in the Old World, and the site of several famous and majestic landmarks. The Imperial Palace and the Grand Cathedral of Sigmar are monumental edifices, larger than whole districts of smaller cities. The Colleges of Magic tower over the banks of fog that blow in off the Reik, venting gouts of sorcerous fire and fume. Altdorf has another side to it, in the teeming rookeries of the East End and the bustling Dockland to the north, gangland intimidation and revolutionary fervour are felt more keenly than the word of Sigmar’s priests, or the rule of the

Grey Mountain Gold
Like most cities in the Empire, Ubersreik is home to a tight-knit community of Dwarfs. Many of these Dwarfs used to live within the holds of the Grey Mountains, but now a number of the fortresses lie forgotten and abandoned, overrun by Goblins and worse.
Terrific tales are told of the vast treasures that can be won by adventurous folk willing to plumb the depths of the lost holds. When a Dwarf named Belgrin Belbaksson boasts that he possesses the only map to the lost Dwarf treasures, he soon attracts a number of enterprising folk

WFRP: ALTDORF, A CITY IN FLUX Part 2
#WarhammerWednesday
Not only did we release Patrons of the Old World 1 today, we also have another blog post from Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay developer Dave Allen regarding Altdorf’s Notorious Docklands. If you missed part 1 on Mutant Monstrosities in the Capital, you can find it here.
A City in Flux – Altdorf’s Notorious Docklands
‘Wot separates the ’Ooks from the Fish? Well, you’ve probably ’eard that the ’Ooks is big into smugglin’, but even more into extortion. The Fish is no slouches when it comes to extortion, but come into their own as smugglers. This is accurate ennuf, but you see your average ’Ook, right, is more likely to ’urt you, whereas the Fish is more likely to kill everyone you know, even your old dear. Whilst the Fish’ll admit to being a lawbreaker as ’e stuffs bricks in your jerkin and tosses you in the Reik; the ’Ook will say that snappin’ each long bone in your body is totally in line with ’is duty as a patriotic Altdorfer. ’

WFRP - A Rich Vein. By Ralph Horsley
Today, we have a blog post from the incredibly talented Ralph Horsley. You will likely recognise some of the fantastic WFRP cover art and pieces below Ralph has created over the years!
Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay – A Rich Vein.
Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay runs through my life. It kickstarted my career and has been my most extensively played RPG in adulthood, and now I have had the great pleasure to work on the latest book covers with Cubicle 7.
I began by creating black and white interior illustrations for the First Edition books, Doomstones, Apocrypha Now, and Marienburg: Sold Down the River. The latter also came with a big challenge. I was commissioned to create the pull-out poster map of the city of Marienburg. This involved painting innumerable tiny half-timbered buildings, canals, and boats. My painstaking efforts were rewarded, however, and I was promoted to working on covers. I managed to squeeze a couple in, the Realms of Sorcery and Dwarfs: Stone & Steel, before the Second

WFRP: Altdorf, A City in Flux
#WarhammerWednesday
Today we have a new blog post from Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay developer Dave Allen regarding Altdorf and the upcoming release Altdorf: Crown of the Empire.
And if you missed yesterdays WFRP news, we released the PDF for the Power Behind the Throne Companion, get all the info and pre-order it here.
A City in Flux – Mutant Monstrosities in the Capital
‘We wish to make it plain to visitors that whilst the creature known as the Drakwald Gibberbeast may bear superficial resemblance to the breed of Chaotic monstrosities known as Jabberslythes it is, in fact, of an entirely divergent taxonomic grouping, as several experts from the University’s Faculty of Bestiaria have confirmed. [Please note: Jabberslythes have a single mouth, whereas the Gibberbeast has between six and fourteen, depending on its mood. Jabberslythe wings are mostly vestigial, whereas the wings of the Gibberbeast are almost totally vestigial.] So, it is not a Jabberslythe, and anyone experiencing a catastrophic

WFRP: Latest News from Ubersreik!
Hi All,
Today we have another intriguing blog post from WFRP Developer Dave Allen.
Latest News from Ubersreik: Geheimnisnacht Approaches
‘Marktag 31st Vorgehim – Mostly gibbous with half-moon periods, a dim lustre of dull olive, low value, barely discernible within the ambit of Mummit.
Backertag 31st Vorgehiem – Absent most of the night then only just discernible between the hours of 4:00 and 5:00, skimming the horizon to the north. Lambent greenish glow.
Bezahltag 32nd Vorgeheim – A slender partial curve hanging high and distant by the Drummer. A pale off-white near-green, much reminiscent of a slice of barely-ripened Grubentreich.
Geheimnisnacht – Full, green, up all night.
Konistag 1st Nachgeheim – Absent until 3:30, then manifestly gibbous, yellow-green, and looking distinctly skull-like until fading at dawn.‘
– From Dagmar von Wittgenstein’s selenography notes, 2509 IC
To linger under the light of the full moon is said to invite madness and mutation. The presence of the sickly-green
