WFRP: Hunting Monsters for Fun and Profit
#WarhammerWednesday
Today’s blog post from WFRP Producer Pádraig Murphy concerns monsters - why they are still worth pursuing and how to hunt them! Pádraig offers examples of unusual and insidious beasts GMs can utilise to surprise and delight players and raise their expectations!
So, settle in, read on and distract yourself by hunting some hazardous beasts!! If you fancy ordering the WFRP Core you can do that on our webstore here or purchase just the PDF here.

Hunting Monsters for Fun and Profit
Hi All, hunting monsters is, in many ways, the low-hanging fruit of roleplaying games of every stripe. Much like kicking off an adventure in a tavern, or clearing a basement of giant rats, it’s very much a case of been there, slew that. Below are three arguments for pursuing this kind of adventure in your game all the same.
The Best Part of a Trope is Subverting It
A small village, poorly travelled and rarely recalled in the halls of power, has a problem.

WFRP: Kemperbad Lonely Hearts Column
#Valentine #WFRPromance #WarhammerFriday
Love is in the air... even in WFRP? Check out these rather special lonely hearts and let us know who takes your fancy over on our Facebook and Twitter pages. Perhaps you're an AAH or WTRTAWFO ?
Kemperbad Lonely Hearts Column
It is that time of the year when all hearts turn to considerations of love and passion, and so it often is in the Old World as well. It is a fact not widely known that, from 2405-2420 IC, the matchmaker Johan Weber in the town of Kemperbad did maintain a column for those individuals whose had trouble meeting other like minded individuals.
Below are a small selection of such texts, recovered from the remains of Johan’s printworks after it was burned to the ground by a mob in an action the town council later characterised as both ‘justified’ and ‘overdue.’
Abbreviations Guide
As it is both difficult and frustrating in the extreme work the plates of this Dwarf-cursed machine, here are the abbreviations of the most common expressions

Middenheim - City of the White Wolf
Before ever there was ever an Empire, the followers of Ulric made their home atop the Fauschlag. It is said that the God of War, Winter and Wolves himself shaped the mighty plateau for his people, and set at its heart the ever-burning White Flame as a mark of his patronage. It is a city of bridges, spires, and winding stairs, and from it’s airy peaks one can see, beyond the clutching darkness of the Drakwald Forest, the far off Middle Mountains. The Fauschlag itself is riddled with tunnels and

At first it was limited to a few instances of sabotage, the odd scuffle with thugs, or stolen goods and luggage. Now an Imperial Expressways coach has gone missing, and the only thing trying all the events together is that they each departed from Bridge Inn. Andreas Wagenknecht has been hired to investigate these events. But if the ex Verenan investigator is to get the result he wants, Andreas will require some assistance...

WFRP: Crime & Punishment
#WARHAMMERWEDNESDAY
We have another WFRP blog post to share this week. So, if you missed last weeks you can catch up on The Art of War here. Otherwise let's hand over to Ben for this weeks post on Crime & Punishment! As always, we'd love to hear what you think on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
Hi All,
Let’s be frank for a moment: most adventurers in the Old World have encountered run ins with the law. In fact, if we’re going off of the Careers which can take the Criminal Talent, a full third of Characters are expected to be known criminals, let alone the successful unknown variety. This air of criminality invariably means the Characters are going to come face-to-face with the law… and I’m not so sure they’re always going to come out on top.
Today we’re going to talk about crime and punishment in the Old World: how to handle it at the table, and how to make the loss of player agency fun.
Getting Set Up
The first thing we need to do before we start locking the Characters up in jail cells
