Imperium Maledictum Macharian Requisition Guide. From the Desk of Scribe Decantus!

Welcome back, Agents of the Imperium! As we get closer to the release of the Macharian Requisition Guide, we’d like to give you a sneak peek of what’s included in this versatile expansion for Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay: Imperium Maledictum.

In creating the Macharian Requisition Guide, we set our goal to expand and fully flesh out the Imperium Maledictum Core Book’s Armoury Chapter, and create a companion piece that would fill in all the blanks and some areas we didn’t have the chance to explore in the core release. We thought it was a natural fit to draw inspiration from the Departmento Munitorum, and books like the Imperial Guardsman’s Uplifting Primer. You’ll see their influence represented visually and characteristically throughout the book, especially through the Requisition Guide’s mouthpiece, Scribe Decantus.

This poor scribe has been tasked with inventorying the Macharian Sector’s nigh-countless stockpiles of arms and armour, a task that will take the rest of his life, and he’ll barely scrape the surface. But Decantus is the right man for the job, diligent to a fault, and a true believer in the power of bureaucracy.

The Macharian Requisition Guide’s opening chapters focus on delivering brand-new weapons, armour, tools, equipment and vehicles. We decided to focus on objects and variants that characters could encounter on a variety of worlds, thereby aiming to better complete the core inventory. We dug deep into the Astra Militarum’s armoury, and pieces belonging to their specialist squads (the Inquisition has its own armoury of rare and esoteric devices, available in the Inquisition Player’s Guide, and the secrets of the Adeptus Mechanicus are a whole other story I guarantee we’ll explore later).

The latter chapters contain useful advice and handy tools for the GM, as well as handy worldbuilding knowledge that everyone at the table will be interested to know. Answering the questions: How do you arrange communications across the Imperium? How can a party secure voidship travel off-world? How can a party find and recruit Hirelings? It also has a small selection of new Talents to train your characters in, downtime Endeavours for them to pursue, and new Boons and liabilities for your Patrons to gain.

As a fun extra tool for GMs, we’ve included Scribe Decantus as a Patron, complete with a full set of stats. You can use him to lead your party in Administratum-themed campaigns, or simply as a useful Contact for your characters to meet. Decantus may not seem immediately powerful as a Patron, but he has the implied backing of many powerful individuals within the Administratum and personally has a hidden zeal he isn’t afraid to wield (your characters will need to watch out for this too!)

The Macharian Requisition Guide will be available for preorder very soon. As with all our offerings, preordering a physical copy comes with a free PDF. You’ll need the rules found in the Imperium Maledictum Core Rulebook to use it, but this 128-page hardback book is guaranteed to have something new for every character!

Coming very soon, watch this space for the Imperium Maledictum, Macharian Requisition Guide.

2025 has just begun, and more is on the way for your gothic noir adventures in the Imperium.
