Age of Sigmar: Soulbound The Great Parch Map Reveal!!
#MortalRealms...Thursday....?
Following its reveal just now on Warhammer TV, we are delighted to share this amazing map by the incredibly talented Jared Blando with you all. We would love to hear what you think over on Facebook and Twitter!!
Only those who burn belong to life.
- Vendell Blackfist, last great Smith-Lord of the Direbrand Tribe
The Great Parch has stood at the centre of many of the greatest events in Aqshy’s history, for good and ill. It was on the Great Parch where many of the barbarous tribes of the east first willingly embraced worship of the Blood God, but also where Sigmar first unleashed his Stormcast Eternals and struck back against the armies of Chaos. The indomitable Fyreslayers were born on the Great Parch, yet so too was the twisted Goretide of the terrible Chaos Warlord Korghos Khul. The Great Parch has been the backdrop for some of the greatest victories and vilest atrocities in the history of the Mortal Realms. This is where your story begins.

Age of Sigmar: Soulbound - Let's Fight!
Hello! Welcome back to #MortalRealmsMonday. As mentioned last week, we’re in the final stages of playtesting for Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Soulbound. We’ll be discussing more of our playtests, but first we wanted to share some insight into how combat works.
Put ‘em Up
Before we get into things, if you haven’t read our posts on how tests work in Soulbound, you can find them here and here. Read them? Cool, let’s get to it.
In Soulbound, characters have three major combat traits: Melee, Accuracy, and Defence.
Melee is how effective you are in hand-to-hand combat. It is derived from your Body and your Weapon Skill. When making a Melee Attack, you make a Body (Weapon Skill) Test.
Accuracy represents your marksmanship and ability to pick out a target. It is derived from your Mind and your Ballistic Skill. When making a Ranged Attack, you make a Body (Ballistic Skill) Test.
Defence is how hard you are to hit, and how adept you are at avoiding danger. Defence is derived from your Body and

Age of Sigmar: Soulbound Playtest
Hello! Welcome back to #MortalRealmsMonday!
We’re in the final stages of playtesting for Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Soulbound, with regular playtests happening with the team in the office and a select few external groups. So this week we wanted to share a quick recap of what we’ve been testing.
Lights in the Gutters
Recently, we did some lunchtime playtesting to try out the new “Swarm” mechanics. The Soulbound headed into the ruins beneath the city of Brightspear (which you will learn more about in the Soulbound Starter Set) to investigate some strange lights. It turns out, the Skaven had burrowed deep beneath the city and their alchemical experiments were causing a whole lot of strangeness.
The group was faced with dozens of Skaven Clanrats, a Grey Seer, and a Rat Ogor. The Rat Ogor is a big heavy-hitting enemy, but isn’t too smart. The Grey Seer is a warpstone-devouring spellcaster, but is very squishy. The Clanrats aren’t much of a threat individually, but can be dangerous in a group

Age of Sigmar: Hag Priestess
#MortalRealmsMonday
Today we’re revealing a brand new Archetype for Age of Sigmar: Soulbound — the bloodthirsty Hag Priestess of the Daughters of Khaine. Let us know what you think over on our Facebook and Twitter pages!
Zealous and Cruel
The God of Murder is yours to invoke.
The priestesses of the Cult of Khaine are selected from the ranks of the Witch Aelves by Morathi herself. They are usually chosen as a reward for exceptional bloodthirstiness or zeal, but the goddess is not above ulterior motives in her selections. Those that survive the many trials which follow emerge hardened by the experience and suffused with a bloody zeal for the God of Murder that surpasses even that of their former sisters.
Through blood rituals and incantations the Hag Priestess is able to call down the wrath of Khaine and perform miracles in combat. Further, they are masters of poison, and most carry at least one treated blade secreted away somewhere at hand; they concoct an assortment of witchbrews and

Age of Sigmar Soulbound: What's Coming in 2020
Welcome to the first #MortalRealmsMonday of the new year! 2020 is going to be a big year for Age of Sigmar: Soulbound, so this week we’re looking ahead at just some of what you can expect to see from Soulbound this year.
Soulbound Core Rules
As Sigmar’s Storm broke upon the hordes of Chaos, a flicker of hope was rekindled in the people of the Mortal Realms. The seeds of civilisation were planted and grew into new bastions of Order, and for a moment it almost seemed the endless tide of darkness could be held back. But then came the Necroquake, as the undead legions of Nagash rose up to shatter the cities of Sigmar. Hope dwindles and once more darkness threatens to engulf the Mortal Realms…
Explore the Mortal Realms in the first ever tabletop roleplaying game set in the world of Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

Age of Sigmar: Soulbound Logo Reveal
This week on #MortalRealmsMonday we are excited to reveal the logo for Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Soulbound!
But what does it mean to be Soulbound? Producer Emmet Byrne gives some insight into how this will shape your adventures in the Mortal Realms.
An Ancient Order
The Soulbound are an ancient order dating back to the Age of Myth. During this time the Pantheon of Order created the Soulbound as both servants of the gods and guardians of the Realms. As the Pantheon of Order shattered and the Mortal Realms descended into the Age of Chaos, the Soulbound faded into memory. Now, in a time of utmost need, Sigmar has called on the other gods to join together and resurrect the lost order. Many ignored the God-King’s call but some answered, and now the Soulbound once more walk the Mortal Realms.
What Does it Mean to be Soulbound?
To be Soulbound is to have your essence entwined with others, binding your souls together. Becoming Soulbound is a phenomenally painful process, one which not everyone

Age of Sigmar: All the posts so far!
We were looking back at all of our #MortalRealmsMondays posts and realised just how much we have shared so far. So, we thought it was the perfect time to recap and share all the posts in one place so you can dip in and out and see what you have missed so far! The posts below are listed oldest to most recent.
Soulbound: Doomseeker
The unbreakable oaths of the Fyreslayers are legendary and the Doomseeker epitomises their stubborn sense of honour. No one knows what could drive a Duardin to swear an oath so mighty as to banish them from their own lodge and nor would any who have sworn such an oath ever say, for a Doomseeker is as reticent as they are proud. Some speculate that they are warriors who have disgraced themselves in battle, that they are the sole survivors of a destroyed lodge, or atoning for some familial guilt. Read the full post here.
Soulbound: Branchwych
Branchwyches are attuned to the life magic of the forest and are entrusted with most sacred of roles. It is a Branchwyches

Age of Sigmar Soulbound: Kurnoth Hunter
#MortalRealmsMonday
Today we’re looking at another Archetype for Age of Sigmar: Soulbound — the commanding Kurnoth Hunter of the Sylvaneth.
Guardian of the Sylvaneth
Cultivated to serve as a defender of the natural order, you wield bow, sword, and scythe to oppose all who threaten the Sylvaneth.
The Kurnoth Hunter is a Free Spirit cultivated by Alarielle as one of her elite warriors. His purpose is to hunt down those who threaten the natural order. In this role he is well-equipped, able to move swiftly and silently across the land. Physically he is a formidable opponent, much larger than a dryad and with a body encased in thick, armour-like bark. The Kurnoth Hunter is more than simply a soldier, however. He will stalk enemies of the Sylvaneth with indefatigable resolve, biding his time until he is certain of success. Many times his hunts will take him far beyond the boundaries of an enclave, well into lands claimed by enemies. Yet nothing will stay a Kurnoth Hunter from his task, for

Age of Sigmar Soulbound: Excelsior Warpriest
#MortalRealmsMonday
Devoted of Sigmar
You are a warrior-priest of the God-King, willing to do anything in the name of your divine liege.
The Mortal Realms are huge, and there are times when the high throne of Azyr can feel very far away indeed. The Excelsior Warpriest is the most zealous of Sigmar’s devoted, gladly carrying the word of the God-King to places that have not felt the light of Sigendil in generations. The miracles that an Excelsior Warpriest can perform vary depending on the proclivities of the individual priest and, to a decidedly lesser extent, on the needs of the mission in question. With the power of faith alone a warpriest can heal the sick and the lame, but just as easily scour the life of the tainted, the possessed and the wicked of spirit. While predominantly a product of the Sigmarite faith, the culture of Azyr has marched into the Mortal Realms with its armies and put down roots with its settlers. Hammerhall-Ghyra is known to harbour warpriests devoted to Alarielle,
