But it’s more than storms and hidden rocks that make these waters dangerous, for the Norscan tribes regularly set sail on their longboats to raid the coasts of their neighbours, looking for booty to size and blood to shed in the name of the gods of Chaos. Many monsters make their lairs under the waves, or in the caves and fjords that are scattered around the coastline. Any captain worth his salt is advised to keep an accurate and up-to-date chart of the region lest they face disaster.
