    Career Trappings

    #WarhammerWednesday

Hi All, this week we have an excellent blog post from WFRP Assistant Producer Ben Scerri. So, read on as Ben takes us through trappings. As always, we would love to hear what you think on our Facebook and Twitter pages!

We’ve talked before about how money makes the Old World go ‘round, but now it’s time to talk about what you’re spending your money on. Cost of living aside, money exists to be spent, and Chapter XI: The Consumers’ Guide in the core rulebook gives you lots of tasty options when going shopping… But not everything you purchase is for fun. You’ve got a job to do — a Career to follow — so it’s time we looked at Career Trappings. What are they, how do you use them, and when do they become important?

Costermonger is a word that has always confused me. What’s a “Coster,” and why are the mongers so excited to be rid of them?

    Let’s get stuck in!

  4. Age of Sigmar Soulbound: Kurnoth Hunter

Age of Sigmar Soulbound: Kurnoth Hunter

    #MortalRealmsMonday

Today we’re looking at another Archetype for Age of Sigmar: Soulbound — the commanding Kurnoth Hunter of the Sylvaneth.

    Guardian of the Sylvaneth

Cultivated to serve as a defender of the natural order, you wield bow, sword, and scythe to oppose all who threaten the Sylvaneth.

The Kurnoth Hunter is a Free Spirit cultivated by Alarielle as one of her elite warriors. His purpose is to hunt down those who threaten the natural order. In this role he is well-equipped, able to move swiftly and silently across the land. Physically he is a formidable opponent, much larger than a dryad and with a body encased in thick, armour-like bark. The Kurnoth Hunter is more than simply a soldier, however. He will stalk enemies of the Sylvaneth with indefatigable resolve, biding his time until he is certain of success. Many times his hunts will take him far beyond the boundaries of an enclave, well into lands claimed by enemies. Yet nothing will stay a Kurnoth Hunter from his task, for

On Monday we discussed the Excelsior Warpriest.

You are a warrior-priest of the God-King, willing to do anything in the name of your divine liege.

The Mortal Realms are huge, and there are times when the high throne of Azyr can feel very far away indeed. The Excelsior Warpriest is the most zealous of Sigmar’s devoted, gladly carrying the word of the God-King to places that have not felt the light of Sigendil in generations. The miracles that an Excelsior Warpriest can perform vary depending on the proclivities of the individual priest and, to a decidedly lesser extent, on the needs of the mission in question. With the power of faith alone a warpriest can heal the sick and the

While predominantly a product of the Sigmarite faith, the culture of Azyr has marched into the Mortal Realms with its armies and put down roots with its settlers. Hammerhall-Ghyra is known to harbour warpriests devoted to Alarielle,

  9. Warhammer Wednesday!

    Warhammer Wednesday!

    #WarhammerWednesday

This Warhammer Wednesday is brought to you by WFRP co-designer Dominic McDowall!

Hello everyone! I’m writing this one today as we’ve had a change to the team as Andy Law leaves us, so I’m acting as Producer again on WFRP while we recruit a new Producer (Andy took over from me last year, and he’s kept the chair lovely and warm). It’s been great working with Andy, I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved together. He won’t be a stranger, and we all wish him the very best for the future.

So, it seemed like a good place to run through what we’re working on at the moment, so you know what you can expect in the coming months:

The Enemy Within Director’s Cut – five volume set

The Enemy Within Companions – one for each of the Enemy Within Campaign books

WFRP Gamemaster’s Guide and GM Screen

    WFRP Compendium Volume 1

Middenheim: City of the White Wolf

    Altdorf: City of Sigmar

Loads of Old World Adventures and Ubersreik Adventures PDFs

There’s loads more plans, synopses and proposals

  10. Age of Sigmar Soulbound: Knight-Questor

    Age of Sigmar Soulbound: Knight-Questor

    #MortalRealmsMonday

Today we’re looking at another Archetype for Age of Sigmar: Soulbound — the dauntless Knight-Questor of the Stormcast Eternals.

    Blade of the God-King

You are a champion of the Celestial Realm, charged with a holy duty by the God-King himself.

Even amongst the glittering exemplars of Sigmar’s Stormhosts the Knight-Questor stands above and apart. They are solitary heroes, able and wholly willing to spend months, years, or even centuries if need be, braving the darkest horrors of the Mortal Realms in pursuit of their quest. The geas that drives each individual varies from knight to knight, but it rules them utterly. It could be as simple as the slaying of a Chaos champion, the delivery of an arcane seal to a fyreslayer lodge or the retrieval of a mythic weapon. It could equally, however, be something as bizarre and pointless as to climb a particular hill in Chamon to pick the weed that flowers there only at noon. The ways of the God-King are rarely scrutable, and
