Chaos Magic and Skaven Engineering!

All magic of the Ruinous Powers flows from The Realms of Chaos into the very heart of the Cosmos Arcane — the Eightpoints. Magic is intimately tied to Chaos — the ability for one to manifest their will upon the realms, to effect change, is what the Ruinous Powers promise after all. In Warhammer Age of Sigmar Soulbound: Champions of Chaos, you can wield the arcane secrets granted by the Dark Gods and beseech their very essence to annihilate the lackeys of Sigmar!
All the flavours of Potent Magic and Unholy Prayers
Like the Forces of Order, the magic of Chaos is cast by channelling the natural background magic of the realms into spells. However, unlike the magic cast by the forces of Order, the natural affinities of the various realms have little impact on the resulting spell — the savagery of Ghur or the raging flames of Aqshy will not manifest themselves in the resultant magical effect.
Instead, the spells cast by the worshippers of Chaos are influenced by the domain of their patrons, and the natural raw power of change found in Chaos.
The Lore of Fate encompasses spells that reflect Tzeentch’s love of knowledge, arcane power, and the changing power of wyrdflame.
The Lore of Malignance is full of the bursting zeal for decay and life of Nurgle, sucking the life from one unfortunate soul while bolstering allies.
The Lore of Extravagance is the magic of Slaanesh’s obsessive perfection, giving seekers access to incredible new sensations while debilitating enemies with overwhelming rushes of painful experience.
The Great Horned Rat’s desire to see the Mortal Realms reduced to dust manifests in the Lore of Ruin, the corsucating destructive energies of the Grey Seers.
Even those marching under the banner of Chaos Undivided have sorcerers who study the Lore of the Damned, battle mages like any of those found marching under the banner of the Betrayer.
And there are the Prayers, the obscene wills of the Chaos Gods made manifest, their blasphemous priests bellowing worship at the top of their lungs, like the Prayers of the Skaven Church of Contagion.
What About Khorne?
Khorne abhors mages and wizards, seeing their refusal to pick up a weapon and get bloody as a source of supreme cowardice. He is the god of martial prowess and the physical nature of battle — to hurl lightning at someone when you could crush their skull in with an axe with your own two hands is the greatest shame there is.
The blessings of Khorne in the form of bloody Prayers are well known to be as powerful as sorcery — yet even these cannot be manifested without first offering an act of terrible violence to the Lord of Skulls.
The insane science of Warpvolt Galvanism and Warpstone Engineering
In Champions of Chaos, a great collection of the murder-contraptions of Clans Skryre are presented as ‘open domain’ schematics for those Skaven Warlock Engineers who are more than keen to unleash crackling warp-lightning or spew green flames to burn both their enemies and rivals to ash. Among those, the dreaded Doomrocket and the Warplock Jezzail, there are many other ingenious tools of Skavendom that will make your foes’ lives a lot less enjoyable!
Soon, you shall have a taste of the raw magic of Chaos!
