Makers are creators at heart, fascinated by invention. Nothing brings them more pleasure than bringing the right tool for the job, or figuring out how to make the wrong tool work anyway. Their passion drives them beyond the safety of Havens to find new ingredients, new components, and new ways to apply them. Some makers hope to make a great discovery or create something that will change the world; others want to rediscover the craft and artistry the world lost in the Breaking. A maker might crave the rush of putting their knowledge to the test under immense pressure, or seek the comfort of knowing their supervision made their Haven a safer place to live.

“The goal with the maker’s design was to give him a sense of practicality that reflects his natural curiosity. He is a character who needs to explore various biomes to find and gather resources. I wanted him to have all he needed with him because of the world’s instability. I was inspired by blacksmith / farrier mediaeval clothing, and like the Sage class, he has this typical customised apron which contains everything he needs in the Broken World. “
