The Women of Warhammer

Hey folks, I’m Ceíre, Operations manager here at Cubicle 7, and all round huge Warhammer roleplaying game fan. For this International Women’s Day, I’d like to shine a light on some of my favourite women featured in Cubicle 7’s Warhammer roleplaying games.

This post mentions by name some NPCs from Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay: Power Behind the Throne, and the Wrath and Glory adventures Graveyard Shift, and Lord of the Spire. Read on with care if you wish to know as little about those adventures as possible!

The Women of Warhammer

First up for me absolutely has to be Inquisitor Tytrona Dikaisune, from Warhammer 40,000: Wrath & Glory. Being trapped in the Gilead System is no excuse as far as she’s concerned! The scourge of Chaos must be rooted out and destroyed, and she is absolutely the best woman for the job. Tytrona is single-minded and uncompromising in her service to the Imperium.

From Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, Elspeth Von Draken has been touched more than most by the Winds of Magic. A hugely powerful wizard, she keeps herself removed from the politics of the Imperial Colleges of Magic. She’s truly a prominent figure around Nuln, where people whisper in both awe and terror of her. Elspeth is a law unto herself, always on the quest for new knowledge and artefacts. She’s also more than capable of looking after herself, as more than one Witchhunter can attest to!

One of the many characters you may have the fortune (or misfortune!) to run into while playing Power Behind The Throne is Brunhilde Klaglich. Brunhilde is an utter artist when it comes to disguise and deception. Very few people actually know much about her, as she likes to reveal as little as possible about herself. Brunhilde is unstoppable when she sets her mind to something. She’s smart, observant and absolutely not above taking part in some pretty underhanded tactics to get what she wants.

These are just a few of the fantastic Warhammer characters that I’ve had the pleasure of playing or interacting with, and we hope you really enjoy meeting them in your own adventures as well, whether as friend or foe!
