Did you catch our recent update? The Soulbound are an ancient order dating back to the Age of Myth. During this time the Pantheon of Order created the Soulbound as both servants of the gods and guardians of the Realms. As the Pantheon of Order shattered and the Mortal Realms descended into the Age of Chaos, the Soulbound faded into memory. Now, in a time of utmost need, Sigmar has called on the other gods to join together and resurrect the lost order. Many ignored the God-King’s call but some answered, and now the Soulbound once more walk the Mortal Realms.

The One Ring: Fellowship Phase

We’ve already had quite an adventure: We’ve talked a bit about the characters, the maps, and lots about Councils, Combat, and Journeys. Now it is time to head home (or at least to a safe place), where we can relax and perhaps reflect upon our experiences.

The Fellowship Phase is a critical part of The One Ring. It was one of the most innovative parts of the first edition and is now a staple in a lot of modern RPGs. It allows heroes to have a home and a safe place in the world to return to after facing untold dangers during their adventures. In the second edition of the game, Fellowship Phases come in several sizes, depending on how much time the heroes are taking to recover. During Year’s End, most Companies take an extended break, allowing heroes to return home for festivities.

The week before we shared the map of Middle-earth for The One Ring – The Lord of the Rings Roleplaying Game!

The new edition of The One Ring will see players venture to new and previously unexplored lands, and tread the well worn paths they have travelled for years, so we knew players and Loremasters alike would need a complete map of Middle-earth. To take on this mammoth task we needed a truly gifted cartographer, so we sought out the services of the incredible Jared Blando. Jared has created some of the most memorable and iconic maps in tabletop roleplaying so we knew he would deliver a truly special version of Middle-earth. And he has done just that.
